Where is Ali Rahman? RSS

Ali Rahman, of Digital Bird Studios, Flames!, A Vertical Mosaic, Square Quotes, and countless other endeavors is a man about town, cock-blocker to heteros engaged in late-night alley homo-sucks, and an internationally recognized hip hop producer who brings freshness to the tired world of urban music.

Follow his course through time, space and the city of Montreal on this tool, which will map Ali's whereabouts as he engages in the situationist and psycho-geographic practice of drifting.

This page is irregularly maintained so that all who want to may in some little way partake in the magic of Ali Rahman, this Quixotic and intriguing figure, who has cut such a figure across the globe, and from such humble beginnings as the child of immigrant parents. Sunday the 19th he was at Green Room for hours drinking free booze. At the end of the night he really wanted to hear Dr Octagon’s “Blue Flowers”. We discussed starting a monthly DJ night which would focus on music for jews, and fake jews ( Allan Ramberg). That’s it for now.

I am sorry to report that I have not seen Ali in a few months.

Sam Shalabi and I did talk about him, however, when we had dinner together before our Nutsak album launch.

I was recounting how the first time I met Ali he was quite drunk at Miami and when he asked me what my name was I responded “Cleopatra”.

He did not seem amused.
